TriCity Family Services is teaming up with Jessica Shockey of Adventures in Scavenger Hunting to bring a new fundraiser to downtown Geneva. Search Party: A Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser will take place April 17, inviting participants to compete and explore all while supporting local mental health services.

How it works: Groups of four will set off on a downtown Geneva scavenger hunt, searching for sites of interest, hidden items, and creative photo opportunities. The fastest team to complete the challenge will win a prize package.

As a nod to the official color of Mental Health Awareness, participants are encouraged to lean into the fun by dressing in coordinating green outfits for a chance to win the “Best Dressed Team” award.

The hunt will begin and end at Riverside Receptions and Conference Center (35 N River Lane in Geneva), where teams will gather for complimentary post-search food and celebration. A cash bar will also be available with drinks for purchase. The event is open to adults 18 and older to participate, and 21 and older to consume alcohol.

Proceeds from Search Party directly support TriCity Family Services’ mission to provide quality mental health services that are accessible and affordable. The organization serves thousands of individuals and families each year through therapy, psychiatric care, case management, and community education.

“Community events like Search Party allow us to raise critical funds while also reducing stigma around mental health,” said Laura Poss, Executive Director of TriCity Family Services, “When we come together for something fun and engaging, we’re also strengthening access to care for our neighbors.”
