Batavia High School seniors can now apply for one of four local scholarships, each worth $1,500. The Batavia Chamber of Commerce raised the award amount for its Inspire Scholarships this year and opened applications for the 2027 program.
Here’s what to know:
Who can apply: The scholarships are open to graduating seniors in Batavia Public School District 101 who plan to continue their education beyond high school.
Four different focuses: The categories are entrepreneurship, women in business, career and technical achievers, and students who contribute to a Batavia Chamber member business. Each one has a specific application and questions.
The local angle: The Chamber says the program helps students build skills while strengthening the connection between education, local business, and the community’s continued prosperity.
Key deadlines: Applications are due by 5PM on Friday, April 2, 2027. Recipients will be notified by email no later than April 23, and the money goes directly to the school each student will attend.
“Increasing these scholarships allows us to offer more meaningful support as students take their next steps,” said Margaret Perreault, president and CEO of the Batavia Chamber of Commerce. “We want them to know that their local business community believes in their potential and is cheering them on.”
Applications and full details are available here. Questions should go to the chamber at (630) 879-7134.
