January 2, 2024: One of America’s premier collegiate ensembles, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Varsity Badger Band visits the Norris Cultural Arts Center to perform in concert, Friday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m.

General admission tickets, priced at $10 for students and seniors, and $20 for adults, are available online through The Norris website, www.NorrisCulturalArts.com. Doors will open approximately 45 minutes before the concert begins.

The band directors will select the evening’s program from among the following crowd-pleasing favorites: Wisconsin Classics, Music of the 90s, Pop-Latin Music, Music of Tina Turner, Pop-Punk Music, Disney Music, Music of Frank Sinatra, Music of Taylor Swift. The concert will feature Badger Band traditions, including "On, Wisconsin!" and the band’s signature show finale, "If You Want to Be a Badger."

The University of Wisconsin–Madison Bands maintain a high profile among musicians and Badger enthusiasts throughout the region. The Varsity Band is the concert band formation of the UW-Madison Marching Band. During its long history, the band has performed throughout the country for innumerable special events and at hundreds of exciting games, including ten appearances at the Rose Bowl.

The Marching Band has travelled to Big Ten stadiums throughout the Midwest and to Lambeau Field for performances at Green Bay Packers games. In Madison, the Marching Band performs in Camp Randall Stadium for more than 80,000 fans during Badger football games. Up to 50,000 fans traditionally stay after a game ends to enjoy the famous 5th Quarter performance.

The UW–Madison Bands are ensembles within the Mead Witter School of Music.

The Norris Cultural Arts Center is located at 1040 Dunham Road on the east side of St. Charles on the Norris Campus, which also includes St. Charles East High School.

Ides of March to perform in March

Just one month after the University of Wisconsin-Madison Varsity Badger Band performs at the Norris Center, Ides of March with Jim Peterik will head to the St. Charles venue for a special concert.

The legendary Chicago rock band will celebrate its 60th anniversary on the actual “Ides of March” (March 15) with a unique performance backed by a full orchestra.
