VSW (Valley Sheltered Workshop) announced its annual Hog Wild for VSW Pig Roast Fundraiser on Saturday, October 19, from 11AM-2PM. This free event will take place at the VSW facility, located at 325 Main Street in Batavia.

At the same time, VSW is celebrating a new partnership with the Montgomery VFW, expanding its mission to provide support for disabled veterans alongside its core community members.

This collaboration honors veterans while expanding inclusive opportunities for everyone.

“We’re excited to launch this new initiative, allowing us to not only honor our veterans but also build stronger, more inclusive opportunities for all,” said Hugo Saltijeral, Executive Director of VSW. “Together, we are transforming lives and empowering our community.”

The pig roast will feature an afternoon of great food, community connection and the chance to contribute to VSW’s vital mission. Attendees can expect:

• Delicious roast pork and sides

• Fun activities for all ages — including raffle baskets donated by local businesses

• Music and entertainment

• A special presentation on VSW’s new programming and partnerships

Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly benefit VSW’s programs, helping the nonprofit continue to provide opportunities for individuals with disabilities and veterans to thrive.
