The surprising truth about your home’s indoor air
Your home’s air filter is catching the big stuff, but a bunch of the particles floating around in your house (like viruses, bacteria, and mold spores) are likely too small for a standard filter to stop.
Batavia-based State Automatic Heating & Cooling offers insights into what’s really happening with your indoor air quality — and what to look for before you spend money on a new filter or some other fix.
It’s worth a quick read, and it may change how you think about your HVAC system.

☑️ Haines on Main: As a historic 1866 home on Main Street in St. Charles prepares to open as an event venue and gathering space later this year, its owners are also focused on supporting local nonprofits and addiction support groups.

☑️ Intersection safety: Kane County crews could start repainting the left-turn lanes on Randall Road at Mill and McKee streets in Batavia as soon as next week, aiming to give drivers turning left a clearer view of oncoming traffic.

☑️ Parade alert: Main Street in downtown St. Charles will close between 5th Ave. and 7th St. from about 12:45-1:30PM on Friday (10/2) for the St. Charles North homecoming parade, so plan on detours and delays.
