According to the Daily Herald, Batavia and Geneva are among the communities where a vape vending machine company sees a possible route to add units.
The Elmhurst-based firm VenVape, which launched about two years ago, has been navigating a mix of bans and green lights across the suburbs as it looks to expand.
Things to know:
How it works: The company’s machines, which are installed in restaurants and bars, include ID scanners designed to prevent underage sales.
Bans: Other suburbs, like Hoffman Estates, have passed formal bans to prevent these machines from being installed.
Vision: VenVape’s goal is to grow its footprint to 30–50 machines in northern Illinois, offering a share of profits to participating businesses.
