On the morning of Friday, May 16, police officers from Geneva, St. Charles and Batavia will take to the rooftops of local Dunkin’ stores as part of Cop on a Rooftop, a statewide fundraising initiative benefiting Special Olympics Illinois.
From 5AM to noon, officers will be stationed at multiple Dunkin’ locations throughout the Tri-Cities, collecting donations, handing out free donut coupons, and offering Special Olympics merchandise including mugs, shirts, and raffle tickets.
Patrons who donate $10 or more will receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run travel mug (while supplies last) and a free medium coffee coupon.
Participating locations include:
Geneva: 206 E. State St.
St. Charles: 1566 E. Main St. and 1711 W. Main St.
Batavia: 108 N. Batavia Ave. and 2002 W. Wilson St.
Cop on a Rooftop is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a collaborative effort by police departments across Illinois and beyond to support athletes with intellectual disabilities. Donations can also be made online, with donors encouraged to credit their local police department.
