If you cycle north along the Fox River Trail on St. Charles’ east side, it’s only fitting that you’ll eventually land at the site of one of the Tri-Cities’ most unique summer events.

Project Mobility is accepting reservations for its Third Annual Long Table Dinner, presented by The Ivy Academy of Early Learning, which returns on Sunday, August 23.

Set along the Fox River at 20 S. Riverside Ave in downtown St. Charles, the event aims to combine exceptional cuisine, community, and a shared mission to change lives through adaptive cycling.

The dinner sits 144 guests at a single community table for a six-course culinary experience. Each course will be complemented by curated craft cocktail pairings from The Lewis and Bay 54. Guests will also enjoy live music, high-end raffle packages, and an inspiring adaptive bike presentation.

The evening's six-course menu is a collaboration featuring popular local restaurants, including The Graceful Ordinary, GIA MIA, Livia Italian Eatery, moto imōto, Ella's Italian Pub, and Fire & Wine.

This year's adaptive bike presentation will celebrate Amina, an eight-year-old who won Project Mobility's Adaptive Bike Giveaway Sweepstakes.

Living with PURA Syndrome, autism, developmental delays, and hypotonia, Amina faces daily physical challenges that make riding a traditional bicycle impossible. Despite these challenges, her joyful spirit has inspired an entire community to rally behind her.

During the evening, guests will see her receive her adaptive bike, giving Amina opportunities for greater independence, physical activity, confidence, and the joy of riding alongside family and friends.

"The Long Table Dinner is a celebration of what happens when a community comes together for a common purpose," said Katherine Reda, Program & Event Director for Project Mobility. "Every ticket purchased helps create life-changing opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Sharing Amina's story and presenting her with an adaptive bike during the evening will remind all of us why this work matters and how powerful a community can be when it rallies around a family."

Since 2002, Project Mobility has been dedicated to providing adaptive cycling opportunities for children, adults, and veterans with disabilities through adaptive bike giveaways, cycling events, educational programs, and community partnerships.
