A western suburbs restaurant family is expanding to St. Charles, and their new concept sounds like nothing else in the area.
Swank Coffee & Wine Lounge (from the team behind Fulla Beans in Itasca) is set to open at Fox Haven Square, the new hospitality and dining development adjacent to Charlestowne Mall on Kirk Road. The concept is part of a confirmed tenant lineup that's been rolling out at the site throughout 2026.
Here's what to know:
The vibe they're after: Swank is designed to feel like more than a coffee shop from the moment you walk in. A fireplace with couch seating anchors the entrance, and the space is intended to have an elevated, intentional feel that sets it apart from a typical café.
Morning to afternoon menu: The bar will shift with the time of day, shifting from pastry displays and coffee in the morning to sandwiches in the afternoon. The space will also prominently feature a wine display.
Why Fox Haven: In a social media video, the owners said Fox Haven Square's upscale, community-focused vision aligned with exactly what they wanted for their next location.
The family restaurant group operating Swank is also behind 100 South Chophouse, Fulla Beans, and Fulla Bologna, according to the Fox Haven Square website.
Swank will join fire + wine, Simple EJ's, Rosebud Steakhouse, Match House, and several other concepts at Fox Haven Square. An opening date hasn't been announced.
