St. Charles is clearing the way for the St. Charles Motorcycle Museum (1317 E. Main St.) to add food and a full bar. The Plan Commission recommended approval on October 7, and the Planning & Development Committee signed off on October 13, with a few site fixes tied to permits.
What’s approved: An amendment to allow a restaurant and tavern/bar at the museum, with food trucks allowed as an accessory use.
What neighbors will notice: Before (or with) the kitchen build-out, the museum must rework parking circulation to one-way, upgrade lot lighting, add a code-compliant trash enclosure, and meet Main Street landscaping requirements.
Events and food trucks: An outdoor entertainment area is designated on site with quiet hours from 10PM to 10AM. Indoor space will allow for live music, stand-up comedy, and similar events. Food trucks will be available with limits on days and hours per week.
A final City Council vote will be the next step.
