St. Charles District 303 has officially started a months-long effort to take a closer look at the condition and future needs of its school buildings — and they’re doing it with significant community involvement.
More than 100 parents, students, staff, and residents have signed on to help shape a long-term plan for local learning spaces.
Key things to know:
A new Community-wide Education Facilities Committee began its work on November 18.
The group includes over 100 volunteers representing families, students, employees, and community members.
The district has launched a dedicated webpage with details about the committee’s six-month process.
The committee’s recommendations will be presented to the School Board and used to guide future facilities planning and investments.
The district says this level of participation shows how strongly the community cares about creating effective, welcoming spaces for local students.
