Winter has settled in at Primrose Farm in St. Charles, but the quieter season hasn’t slowed down the lineup of hands-on activities and programs.
The living history farm is offering plenty of ways for families to stay active and connected through the colder months:
Barnyard Books returns: Monthly story-and-song sessions for young children kick off December 18 and continue January 15 and February 19 in partnership with the St. Charles Public Library.
Camps for school breaks: Winter Farm Camps and Farm Fun Days give kids a closer look at daily farm life, complete with outdoor chores, playtime, and warm treats afterward.
Homeschool Homesteaders offered again: A six-session series covering animal care, household skills, and farm history is open to homeschool families, with registration available by session.
Workshops for all ages: Additional programs this season explore topics like biotechnology, needle felting, cookie baking, and a new Pathfinder gaming series.
