Power Moves Yoga’s new building at 110 S 17th St. in St. Charles.

Power Moves Yoga has moved into a new space off North Avenue in St. Charles, trading its former digs for a larger space designed to be equal parts yoga studio, wellness center, and community hangout.

Owner Crystal Krause and her husband Andrew opened the renovated former medical office in early April and are now rolling out a slate of new therapeutic services alongside their existing yoga classes. To mark the transition, the studio is hosting a free open house event on Friday, April 24.

Here's what to know:

  • Bigger space, bigger plans: The new location gives Power Moves Yoga room to add cold plunge, sauna, contrast therapy, and two sensory deprivation float rooms featuring open-tub designs rather than enclosed pods.

  • Free community event on Friday: The studio is hosting a "Spring into Summer Spa Soiree" open house from 5-7:30PM on April 24 featuring sample spa services from multiple local providers, a complimentary sound bath, drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and raffle giveaways. RSVP for a raffle ticket at the door and earn an extra ticket for each friend you bring.

  • Not your typical yoga studio: Power Moves Yoga draws a wider-than-usual demographic, with everything from classes for families with kids to restorative offerings for retirees. The goal with the new space is to create a place where people stick around, not just show up for class and leave.

The open house event is a great opportunity for community members to see the new space and explore the studio’s service offerings.
