Power Moves Yoga in St. Charles has a big month ahead — plus a new amenity that's been a long time coming is ready for action.
On Sunday, June 21, the popular studio is bringing yoga outdoors for a free community class at the Geneva Commons. And back at the studio, a special sound bath is in the works and the contrast therapy room is officially open for bookings.
International Yoga Day on the Green
If you were at last year's yoga class on the Geneva Commons green, you already know this is a blast. About 80 people showed up, laid down their mats in the sunshine, and enjoyed a genuinely fun, low-key community yoga class in a beautiful outdoor setting.
This year's event returns on Sunday, June 21 at 9AM — and it's tied to both International Day of Yoga and Father's Day, making it a great opportunity to bring your partner, your dad, or your whole crew out for the morning.
The class is led by owners Crystal and Andrew and co-organized with the lululemon team at Geneva Commons. If you stick around afterward, lululemon is hosting refreshments and a little shopping event following the class.
Summer Solstice Sound Bath
Looking for a unique way to celebrate the peak of summer?
On Wednesday, June 24 at 7PM, Power Moves is hosting a Summer Solstice Sound Bath workshop led by instructor Mike. This 75 minute sound bath meditation invites participants to sink into the golden glow of the solstice in a space of warmth, light, and deep renewal amid the gentle resonance of crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes.
The contrast therapy room is open
This has been in the works since Power Moves opened its new St. Charles space in April, and it's ready. The contrast therapy room — featuring cold plunge and sauna — is now open and taking appointments.
