Looking for a chance to slow down and focus on yourself this fall? The Modern Domestic Woman (MDW) has planned a series of October and November events meant to foster connection, creativity, and meaningful conversations among women.
Here’s what’s coming up:
MONKS Gathering — October 12
MDW is partnering with Resonant Healing Collective to host a yoga class and brunch for Moms of Neurodivergent Kids (MONKS) at Zen Loft Collective on October 12 (11AM-1PM). Cost is $30.
RSVP by emailing [email protected].
Values & Vision Workshop — October 18
This workshop will guide participants through identifying their core values and creating a custom bracelet as a daily reminder of those priorities.
Event will be held at Baker Community Center in St. Charles from 9:30-11AM. Cost is $10. Register here.
Inclusive Trunk-or-Treat — October 25
MDW is teaming up with My Recess Therapy and Rising Lights Project for a sensory- and allergy-friendly trunk-or-treat at the Elburn Metra Station from 11AM-1PM on October 25.
The free event will feature inclusive treats, a teal pumpkin hunt, a costume contest, raffles, and a “Friendly Forest” themed trunk with crafts and tactile activities. Learn more.
Rebuilding Your Life After Divorce — November 6
Following the success of an earlier workshop this year, MDW is bringing back this free evening event to help participants navigate emotional healing, financial planning, legal clarity, and housing considerations after divorce.
Speakers include financial advisor Alexis Benson, therapist and divorce coach Carrie Summers, family law attorney Anique Drouin, and mortgage expert Linda Callaghan.
Event will be held at The Victorian Fox in St. Charles from 6-8PM. It’s free, but registration is required.
These events offer opportunities for connection and reflection before the busy holiday season, giving attendees space to pause, learn, and engage with others in a supportive setting.
