MDW Cares — a local group that supports women by helping them connect, learn, and feel empowered — is hosting a trio of January events centered on mindful living, creative reflection, and financial confidence.

What to know about the January events:

  • Sober-curious conversation | January 7, 6:30PM | Victorian Fox, STC: A judgment-free discussion led by a licensed counselor that explores drinking less through a harm-reduction lens, with practical tools for managing cravings, navigating social situations, and understanding tapering versus stopping suddenly. MDW founder Elizabeth Rago will also share her personal shift toward sober living. Learn more and register.

  • Vision board workshop | Sunday, January 11, 1-3PM | Flower of Life Yoga & Wellness Center, STC: A relaxed, creative evening built around connection and reflection, where attendees can create a vision board for the year ahead. Basic supplies and cozy beverages are provided, and participants are encouraged to bring personal photos or items that inspire them. The event is free, but registration is required. Learn more and register.

  • Women and money night | Saturday, January 24, 6-8PM | Realtor Association Fox Valley, STC: A free financial education gathering for women ready to feel more confident with budgeting, investing, homeownership, and long-term planning.
