Physical changes are coming to Louise White School after the Batavia Board of Education approved a summer 2026 building improvement project focused on safety, learning spaces, and long-term infrastructure needs.
The work aims to modernize key parts of the building while addressing concerns identified through the district’s long-range facilities planning.
Here’s what you should know:
Security upgrades: New security vestibules will be installed at building entrances, and doors and windows will be upgraded to strengthen entry control and visibility.
New learning spaces: The project includes construction of three new kindergarten classrooms, along with new music and art rooms to better support growing programs.
Major infrastructure work: Plans call for a full roof replacement, new HVAC units, a replaced fire alarm system, and exterior tuck-pointing to maintain the building’s structure.
Timeline and costs: Construction is scheduled to run from late May through early August 2026, funded through the district’s Capital Projects Fund.
