Good news for local coffee fans: Limestone Coffee & Tea has confirmed it will take over the café space at the Batavia Public Library in early January, continuing the tradition after Flyleaf Bakery Cafe closes at the end of December.
Key things to know:
Opening timeline: Limestone plans to open in early January, shortly after Flyleaf’s final days as its owner retires.
Hours: The new café will start by keeping Flyleaf’s current hours (9AM – 4:30PM Mon-Fri; 9AM – 1PM Saturday; closed Sunday) with the possibility of expanded hours in the future.
Menu: The drink menu will mirror Limestone’s existing Riverside Commons location, so familiar favorites will carry over.
Baked goods + art: Limestone will collaborate with Breads & Bakes Co., a local bakery based in North Aurora, for baked goods at the library and will continue the Artist of the Month program at both locations.
It’s a smooth local handoff that keeps coffee, pastries, and community art flowing at one of Batavia’s favorite public gathering spots.
