The League of Women Voters of Central Kane County is partnering with the St. Charles Public Library to host a Voter Registration event in the Huntley Community Room at the library on Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 1-4PM.
Certified Deputy Registrars from both the LWV and the library will be on hand to assist eligible members of the public with new voter registrations and registration updates.
To be eligible to register to vote in the upcoming March 17 General Primary election, a person must meet the following criteria:
Be a U.S. Citizen
Be at least 18 years old, or must be 17 now and turning 18 years old by Nov. 3, 2026 (with birthdates on or earlier than 11/3/2008)
Be a resident of the precinct for at least 30 days prior to Election Day
Appointments are not required and applicants will need to provide two forms of identification. Except in the case of unhoused individuals, one of the documents must include the applicant’s current residential address.
Following are all acceptable forms of identification:
Physical Driver's License / State Identification Card
Social Security Card
Public Aid Identification Card
Current Utility Bill
Employee Identification Card
Student Identification Card
Lease or contract for residence
Credit Card
Civic Membership Card
Union Membership Card
Professional Association Membership Card
