Now that summer’s in full swing, it’s a good time for a lawn watering regulations refresher.

Geneva: Water sprinklers are permitted between 6AM to 9AM and 6PM to 9PM on designated days year-round. Residents with an even-numbered street address can water their lawns on even-numbered days and vice-versa for odd-numbered addresses. More info.

Batavia: Lawn sprinkling is permitted from 6AM - 9AM and 6PM - 9PM following the odd / even rule. There are no restrictions when watering with a hand-held device. More info.

St. Charles: Water sprinklers are permitted between midnight to 9AM and 6PM to 10PM following the odd / even rule. More info.

By limiting lawn watering to specified hours, each city’s aquifers and water towers have an opportunity to rebound during the daytime.
