The Kane County Farm Bureau has been recognized by the Illinois Farm Bureau with a County Award of Excellence in the “Membership Value” category. The state organization offered praise for how it serves and engages local members — with its “Country Store” as a major factor.
Key things to know:
The award is part of the Illinois Farm Bureau’s County Awards of Excellence program, which honors standout county Farm Bureau initiatives across the state.
Kane County earned its recognition specifically for Membership Value, highlighting how it adds tangible benefits for members and the public.
A major driver of that recognition is the Country Store in the St. Charles office, which first opened in 2017 and features farm toys, gifts, local food products, and seasonal items.
The store also hosts community-focused seasonal events and sales and draws thousands of visitors each year, extending the Farm Bureau’s reach well beyond its membership.
The office and Country Store are currently decked out for Christmas. You can visit at 2N710 Randall Road in St. Charles.
