About the book
Told entirely through the letters, emails, and written reflections of its 73-year-old protagonist, Sybil Van Antwerp, “The Correspondent” is a moving portrait of a woman navigating aging, memory, regret, and connection. Each morning, Sybil sits at her writing desk and composes letters to family members, old friends, writers she admires, and sometimes even strangers.
Through this intimate epistolary form, readers slowly uncover the events, relationships, losses, and long-held secrets that have shaped Sybil’s life.
All One Book, One Community events will take place in the Geneva Public Library, 227 S. Seventh Street, Geneva. For information on all the events, click here.
