If you’ve ever wished U.S. history class moved a little faster (and came with more jokes), Geneva High School’s Theatre Department has a show for you.
Students are gearing up to perform “The Complete History of America (Abridged),” a rapid-fire comedy that races through centuries of American history with modern humor and plenty of energy.
Here’s what to know:
Show dates and times: Performances are Friday and Saturday, February 13-14, at 7PM in the Geneva High School auditorium.
Tickets are affordable: Adult tickets are $10, and student and senior tickets are $7. You can purchase tickets here.
A fast-paced comedy: The play takes big historical moments — starting with the American Revolution — and condenses them into a quick, comedic sprint to the present day.
Students lead the charge: The cast says the show’s humor and current references might surprise people, and the production is being guided by director Drew Longo along with technical director Jason Fontanetta and a student crew.
