A new chapter is beginning for Geneva Commons — and the community is invited to help celebrate.
The well-known outdoor shopping center is hosting a Grand Reopening event this Saturday (6/28) from 1-7PM highlighting recent renovations, a slate of new tenants, and a renewed focus on creating a vibrant gathering space for the Tri-Cities.
Now under the ownership of Lamar Companies, which purchased the Commons in April 2024 for $63.7 million, the center has undergone considerable upgrades over the past year. Updates include nearly a dozen new businesses, a stage for performances, and improvements to both the infrastructure and public common areas.
According to property manager Donna Eyre, Saturday’s event is a way to reintroduce the shopping center to the community.
What to expect:
Sidewalk sales and open doors from participating retailers throughout the afternoon
Free food samples from 1–4PM from food and drink tenants
Family activities including a bouncy house, stilt walker, cotton candy, and more
Giveaways all day, including raffles for gift cards, gift baskets, and other prizes
Live music from 5–7PM on the Commons’ brand-new stage, part of the updated center plaza
The performance will mark the official christening of the stage, which is set to host live music multiple times throughout the summer, Eyre said.

Lamar Companies, based in New Jersey and Colorado, owns shopping centers across the country but has expressed a strong commitment to local engagement in Geneva. The Commons originally opened in 2002 and was previously owned by LaSalle Investment Management.
As the Geneva Commons looks to its future, Saturday offers a chance for the community to rediscover what’s new — and what’s next.
