The Fox River & Countryside Fire Rescue District is set to break ground on its third fire station, marking a milestone in improving emergency services for the community.

This development follows six previously rejected referendums.

Here’s what residents should know:

  • The district serves more than 30K residents spanning 38 square miles across DuPage and Kane counties — including unincorporated sections of St. Charles and Campton townships plus parts of Campton Hills and Wayne.

  • The new Fire Station No. 3 will be centrally located at 37W550 Bolcum Road, St. Charles Township.

  • Construction is expected to cost $5.9 million and be completed by spring or summer 2025.

  • Fire officials anticipate improved response times and better overall coverage for the district's service area.

The addition of this new station allows the district to enhance its capabilities and meet the growing needs of the community. A groundbreaking ceremony on September 5 will be open to the public.
