A Batavia woman is facing serious charges related to the financial exploitation of an elderly family member, including monetary transfers and forgery.
Key points
Allegations: Ginger C. Jackman, 43, has been charged with two counts of felony financial exploitation for misappropriating over $50K from an elderly family member who was living at the Holmstad between 2020 and 2023.
Forgeries: In addition, Jackman is accused of forging three checks during the same time frame.
Investigation: A police report revealed ties between the victim's bank account and Jackman’s accounts, including substantial funds to pay off student loans.
Jackman is scheduled to appear in court on January 31.
