Two Tri-Cities businesses — Fancy Nancy Boards and The Hallow Traveler — have joined forces to open a unique shop in downtown Batavia on the second floor of 109 E. Wilson Street.

Fancy Nancy Boards offers premade charcuterie boards, grazing tables, charcuterie cups and cones, plus catering for all types of events. The Hallow Traveler is a mobile bartending business with a vintage horse trailer bar available for parties, weddings, corporate events and similar events.

Though their original location is in Naperville, you may recognize Fancy Nancy Boards as a past participant in the Batavia Boardwalk Shops. The Hallow Traveler’s original location is in St. Charles.

Given that the two businesses tick just about every box on the party planning checklist, you’d expect nothing less than a Grand Opening party — which they’ll be hosting in their new space on Friday, April 26.

Naturally, Fancy Nancy will be handling the food while The Hallow Traveler will take care of the drinks. Head over at 4PM to get a first look at the new shop.

“Fancy Nancy Boards offers an elevated experience to any celebration,” said Nancy Castro, owner of Fancy Nancy Boards. “Not only do we offer our fresh catering, but we have expanded new products in our retail department. Enjoy hand made olive blends, nut mixes, and different cheeses that will take your taste buds on a wild ride.”

Eliana Maldonado, owner of The Hallow Traveler, is very excited about sharing a space with her friend Nancy — especially given the complementary nature of the two businesses.

“The shop will have retail items that are the perfect gifts to make the happiest hour right at home,” she said. “We will have infusion kits, edible drink toppers, vintage glassware, a mocktail bar and grab-and-go drinks. We will also host monthly events such as cocktail classes, pop-ups, networking groups and dinner parties.”
