June is shaping up to be a lively month in St. Charles, with the Park District offering a little something for everyone.
Whether you're looking to get the kids into swim lessons, explore nature, hit the stage, or embrace your inner pickle enthusiast, there’s no shortage of ways to get out, get active, and enjoy the season.
Here’s what’s happening:
Little Picklers Summer Camp
Ages 10–14
Kids can learn the basics of pickleball and play in a relaxed, supportive environment at Norris Recreation Center. All equipment is provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own.
To register, call: 630-377-1405.
Swim Lessons
Ages 6 months+
Whether it’s their first time in the water or they’re ready to refine their strokes, these lessons help build confidence and safety around water. Sessions are held at Swanson Pool and Otter Cove Aquatic Park.
P38 Theatre Camps
Ages 6–13
Kids explore singing, acting, and dancing through scenes and songs from popular musicals and movies. Each themed camp ends with a live showcase at Playhouse 38.
Sip & Swing Scramble
Ages 21+ | June 13
Enjoy an evening on the course with a 9-hole scramble, local beverage tastings, tasty bites, and games. Foursome registration includes golf carts and a great way to kick off the weekend.
Movies in the Park: Dog Man
All ages | June 13
Bring a blanket and enjoy a free outdoor movie under the stars at Pottawatomie Park. Concessions are available and proceeds benefit the STC Underground Teen Center.
Big Tree Passport
All ages | June 18–July 2
Grab a free passport and explore the “gentle giants” of St. Charles — some of the area’s oldest and most fascinating trees. Learn their stories and track your visits at parks throughout the district.
Pickle Paradise
All ages | June 20
St. Charles celebrates its status as the Pickle Capital of the World with a tangy evening of games, puns, selfie stations, food trucks, music, and more. Don't miss the Pickle Patch Tasting, Dill Dash, or pickleball tournament.
