As Easter approaches, families in search of kid-friendly activities won’t have far to look in Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles — there’s a true smorgasbord of options.

All three park districts and several local organizations have embraced the spirit of the holiday by organizing a variety of events, including classic Easter egg hunts and breakfasts with the bunny.

Below is a roundup of events the youngsters can get excited about. Keep in mind: Some events require registration and some will be held again the following weekend.

Friday, March 22

Tween Flashlight Egg Hunt | 6-7PM | Prairie Path Park, Batavia | Participants will receive a glow stick and a special prize if they find the Golden egg.

Egg-Mazing Race & Twilight Egg Hunt | 5:30-7:30PM | Wheeler Park, Geneva | Teams of four will compete in various physical and mental challenges to win prizes.

Easter Egg Hunt | 10AM | West Main Community Park | The annual outdoors event is for children aged 2-9.

Saturday, March 23

Breakfast with the Bunny | 8-11AM | Colonial Cafe, St. Charles | Kids get to enjoy a festive breakfast and receive a gift.

EGGstraordinary Easter Experience | 9-11AM | Immanuel Lutheran Church, Batavia | An immersive event for children age 1 through 3rd grade.

Easter Egg Hunt | 9AM | Elburn Lions Community Park | Scarf down a continental breakfast before going a festive hunt.

Breakfaster with the Easter Bunny | 9-11:30AM | Alexander’s Cafe, St. Charles | Bring a camera for photo ops and plan to come away with treats!

Easter Event & Egg Hunt | 10AM-1:30PM | Windy Acres Farm, Geneva | Have a blast at the farm before, during and after the Easter festivities.

Easter Egg Hunt | 10AM | Pottawatomie Park, St. Charles | No registration required for this one — children age 9 and younger.

Bunny Breakfast & Egg Hunt | 10AM | Persinger Recreation Center, Geneva | A pancake breakfast to fuel up for the egg hunt and photo ops.

Sunday, March 24

Bunny Bash & Splash | 2:30-4:30PM | Goldfish Swim School, St. Charles | Suit up for swimming, crafts, treats and pictures with the bunny.

Looking ahead: The Arcada Theatre in St. Charles will host a special bunny breakfast and an Easter egg hunt next Saturday (March 30) as well.
