Batavia MainStreet’s annual Cocktails in the Park fundraiser is set for Friday, July 26 from 7:00–10:00 PM at Appleton Park (behind City Hall, 100 N Island Ave.), and tickets are still available.
This year’s event features three original cocktails developed specifically for the evening by former Brooklyn bar owner Brandon Davey and long-time volunteer Jeff Beck. The drinks were designed to be something a little different — creative spins on classic flavors, built with care and a clear point of view.
Here’s what’s on the menu:
Shumway and Flinn – Clarified Paper Plane: A clean take on a modern bourbon cocktail, using Amaro Nonino and Aperol for layered flavor without heaviness.
Birds and Words – Jungle Bird Variation: Tropical but balanced. Rum, pineapple, lime, and a touch of Campari give it brightness without being overly sweet.
Whispering Windmill: Light and refreshing. Rhubarb and lemongrass bring tartness and spice, with vodka as the base.
“These cocktails are more than just drinks—they’re thoughtfully crafted experiences,” said Kristen Desler, Assistant Director of Batavia MainStreet. “Each one showcases not only incredible flavor, but a level of care and creativity that sets this event apart. Guests are in for a real treat this year.”
Tickets are $40 in advance at downtownbatavia.com through noon on July 26, or $50 at the door if still available.
Each ticket includes:
Small plates from local restaurants and Batavia Farmers’ Market vendors
Live music performances
A take-home bag of kettle corn
Proceeds support Batavia MainStreet programs like the Farmers’ Market, Artisan Collective, and Boardwalk Shops.
