A night of classic rock in downtown St. Charles will serve the dual purpose of helping local families put food on the table.
On January 18, the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley is hosting a benefit concert at the Arcada Theatre, with proceeds supporting food pantries across the Fox River Valley.
Here’s what to know:
What’s happening: A classic rock concert featuring The Generations, led by Chicago musician Rob Stepen, known for high-energy shows that span decades of rock favorites. Here’s footage from one of their recent performances.
The goal: The concert benefits the Community Foundation’s Food Relief Fund, which provides direct support to food pantries facing rising demand during the winter months.
Community benefits: Proceeds will support multiple pantries serving Kane County and surrounding areas, including Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry, Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry, Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Northern Illinois Food Bank, and others throughout the Fox River Valley.
How to join in: The show takes place Saturday, January 18, at 5PM at the Arcada Theatre in St. Charles. Tickets are available here, and attendees can use the discount code GENERATIONS25 for 25% off. Donations can also be made directly to the Food Relief Fund for those who can’t attend but still want to help.
Beyond the music, organizers say the goal is simple: turn a fun winter night out into real, impactful help for neighbors facing food insecurity.
