Campton Township officials are asking residents to weigh in on a $17.2 million referendum in the upcoming April election.
The funding would support the purchase of additional land, upkeep of existing properties and upgrades to rural areas.
Key points
Funding: The referendum would allow the township to acquire new properties and make improvements to sites already owned by the township, including restoration work and facility updates.
Taxes: If approved, the bond would add an estimated $286 annually in taxes for a $400K home.
Past work: Over the last two decades and change, Campton Township has used similar funding sources to protect nearly 1,500 acres.
Upgrades: Planned improvements include upgrades to Gray Willows Farm, including remodeling, parking and equipment storage.
