Big Hearts of Fox Valley, a nonprofit based in St. Charles, recently delivered over 10,000 Christmas gifts to children in need through its annual Christmas Gift Sponsorship Program.
Here’s how volunteers and community sponsors came together to make this happen:
Serving families in need: This year, the program supported 231 families in St. Charles, providing gifts for 550 children identified by school officials.
Volunteers in action: Around 20 volunteers organized and distributed gifts, while community members like local social workers and even a mayoral candidate joined the effort.
Community support: Local organization sponsors contributed to an estimated $50,000 worth of gifts distributed this year.
A tradition of giving: Since its founding in 2014, the nonprofit has worked to ensure kids receive wish list items that blend toys and essentials like clothing and shoes.
