A small candle shop in downtown Geneva is getting big recognition. Bee Coco Candle has been named one of Illinois’ official “Illinois Made” businesses for 2025 — an honor given to standout makers who help shape the state’s creative identity.
- Illinois Made: The Illinois Office of Tourism selected Bee Coco Candle for its line of non-toxic, soy-free candles designed to be safe for both people and pets.
- Recognition: Owners Eric and Noreen Francis were congratulated by Mayor Kevin Burns and local officials during an October 27 visit.
- The program: The shop joins 277 other “Illinois Made” artisans and small businesses across the state celebrated for their craft.
- The background: What began as a retirement idea turned into a thriving Geneva storefront at 308 W. State Street, where the couple hand-pours every candle.
Bee Coco Candle offers products that are hand-poured using a coconut-apricot wax blend and free from soy, parabens, phthalates, and harmful toxins.
