According to Batavia MainStreet: “At the beginning of each year, we like to reflect back on the prior year and celebrate all of the successes we shared here in Downtown Batavia.”

To help accomplish that goal during the month of January, the nonprofit business organization encouraged the community to vote for the top downtown businesses in various categories that Batavia such a unique place to live, work and play.

The business community came together at Sturdy Shelter Brewing earlier this week to celebrate the winners:

  • Curb Appeal: Farmdog Flowers

  • Outstanding Atmosphere: Limestone Coffee and Tea

  • Most Improved Building: Geneva Winery

  • Best Seasonal Decor: Pretty Pages and Mojo Handbags

  • Engaging Social Media: Light and Pine Collective

  • Community Impact: Sturdy Shelter Brewing

  • Innovative Events: Sidecar Supper Club

  • Rising Star: New Moon Vegan

  • Outstanding Volunteers: Laura Hayes, Andrew Wallace, Tom Brown, and Nick Snyder

  • Windmill Award: Brittany Sabatino and Bob Hansen
