The Batavia Boardwalk Shops small business incubator program that takes over a corner of downtown Batavia every summer will soon be back for its seventh year, with 10 new micro-businesses setting up shop starting May 8.
Here's what to know:
Opening weekend: A ribbon cutting at 10:30AM on Friday, May 8 marks the official start of the season at the corner of Wilson and River streets. The shops will be open Fridays 11AM-5PM, Saturdays 9AM-5PM, and Sundays 11AM-4PM.
Weekly raffle through June 28: Every purchase at the Boardwalk Shops earns an entry into a weekly drawing for $50 in Downtown Dollars, redeemable at more than 60 local Batavia businesses.
The lineup rotates each year: The Boardwalk features a curated mix of vendors selling handcrafted goods, specialty foods, fashion, books, and home decor. This year's lineup includes a renovated brick paver patio and a new photo op spot.
The shops run through the summer and have become a regular draw for downtown foot traffic. See the full list of 2026 vendors.
