Three new businesses have opened their doors in St. Charles in recent months, giving residents fresh options for a quick bite, a fruity beverage, and some relaxation and recovery.

Here's what to know:

  • Quick-serve Asian food: Soksay Kitchen opened in March at 2400 E. Main St., at the corner of Route 64 and Dunham Road, serving Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese street food to go. Online reviewers are enthusiastic about the authentic dishes (including pho, curry, and fried rice) along with its family-run, friendly setup.

  • Smoothies on Main Street: Smoothie King opened at 2700 E. Main St. in the Foxfield Commons shopping center near Kirk Road and Route 64, with a grand opening celebration planned for August. Founded in 1973, the franchise chain touts its focus on using real, natural ingredients in its blended smoothies.

  • Downtown sauna studio: Perspire Sauna Studio opened recently at 162 S. 1st St. downtown, offering private infrared sauna suites, red light therapy, and cold-plunge showers with guests able to set their own temperature and lighting.

Smoothie King's grand opening celebration this August is expected to bring additional promotions and giveaways for early customers.
