February and spring 2026 are shaping up to be a busy and meaningful stretch at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Geneva, with several events and programs designed to bring people together — around the table, in conversation, in service, and in family life.

Whether you’re looking for a community dinner, a way to give back, a chance to share your story, or a faith milestone for your child, St. Mark’s has something happening.

Here’s what’s coming up:

Pancake dinner + storytelling kickoff

St. Mark’s will revive the Shrove Tuesday tradition with a special pancake dinner on Tuesday, February 17 at 6:00 PM, hosted by its Men’s Ministry. The evening also marks the launch of GodCorps, a new Lenten storytelling initiative centered on sharing experiences of where God has shown up in everyday life.

GodCorps invites the wider community

Inspired by StoryCorps, GodCorps invites anyone in the community to record a short interview sharing a personal God-encounter story during the season of Lent. St. Mark’s hopes to collect and preserve these stories as a reflection of faith across the community.

First Holy Communion preparation begins

Families with children in second grade — or older children who haven’t yet received First Communion — are invited to participate in St. Mark’s 15-week preparation program, which begins this month and culminates in a First Communion celebration on Sunday, May 3.

The hands-on curriculum that explores Scripture and helps kids understand the meaning, purpose, and practice of Holy Communion. Families interested in learning more or enrolling their child can contact Jen Beall, Director of Children’s Ministries, at [email protected].

Hands-on service opportunity

On Saturday, February 28, St. Mark’s will partner with the Salvation Army for an in-house clean-up project in St. Charles. The morning service opportunity runs from 9:30AM to 12:30PM and is open to individuals, families, and groups.

Morning prayer service

The Fox Valley community is warmly invited to join St Mark's Church Geneva on Wednesday mornings at 7:30PM for Healing Prayer Service. Each service lasts 45–60 minutes and includes scripture readings and prayer focused on physical, emotional, and spiritual wholeness. Participants are welcome to pray for themselves and for others.

More details on all of these opportunities — including how to attend, serve, record a GodCorps story, or enroll a child — can be found at stmarks-geneva.org or by contacting St. Mark’s directly.
