Grab a friend and a passport (literally) for the 5th annual Passport to Batavia shopping event on Saturday, July 25, from 10AM to 3:30PM.
The self-guided tour features more than a dozen shops on Batavia's east side, and every ticket sold helps fund food assistance for community members facing food insecurity.
Here's what to know:
Start at the Farmers Market: Pick up your passport, goody bag, and route map at the Batavia Farmers Market before setting off on your own.
New stops this year: The route includes Batavia Boardwalk Shops, home to eight small storefronts run by budding entrepreneurs and some established local businesses. Wilson Street Mercantile and other east-side retailers are participating as well.
Wrap up with prizes: The afternoon ends at Start Something Studio from 2 to 3:30PM with refreshments and chances to win Chamber Bucks or a Main Street raffle basket.
Tickets: Get them for $30 in advance (recommended due to limited space) or at the Farmers Market community tent on the morning of the 25th from 9AM to noon.
The event is organized by the Batavia Woman's Club, a community organization dating back to 1892, with sponsor support from Oui Travel.
